As 2015 comes to a close, we're celebrating some fall-semester highlights. IU opened an office in Europe, the School of Education dedicated a new makerspace, and faculty member and former Indiana congressman Lee Hamilton received the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

A new makerspace opened in IU Bloomington’s School of Education, giving students the chance to craft projects with laser cutters, make models with 3-D printers, and design and prototype with common materials like cardboard or Legos.
IU Europe Gateway office inaugurated
The gateway is IU’s third facility for international faculty, student and alumni activities, following the launch of similar offices in New Delhi and Beijing.

IU College of Arts and Sciences announces new scholarships funded by $2 million gift
The Knauss Family Scholarship will annually fund more than $150,000 worth of new scholarships for students admitted to the College of Arts and Sciences through its direct-admit program.
