This February, IU Bloomington celebrated its eighth SustainIU Week, a series of events organized around the theme "Sustainability in an Unequal World."
Keynote speakers Julian Agyeman and J. Drew Lanham delivered the annual Ben Brabs on Lecture for Sustainable Ideas on Monday, Feb. 29 at the Indiana Memorial Union. Agyeman, an ecologist and bio-geographer turned environmental social scientist, spoke on "Just Sustainabilities: Re-Imagining E/Quality, Living Within Limits." Lanham, a wildlife ecologist, author, poet and birder, spoke on "Range Mapping: The Essential Eco-Social Exercise of Blurring the Lines Between Birds and People."
SustainIU Week is organized by the IU Bloomington Student Sustainability Council to promote sustainable living policies on campus and beyond.
