AMP IU offers incentives for the creation of interdisciplinary Accelerated Master’s Degree Programs, through which participating students can earn both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in five years or less.
New programs are under development in 26 areas, and seven of the existing degrees are being expanded to include more credit overlap.
These include additions to the arts, language, health, and education fields, and about a third of new programs planned are in information and computer technology. The number of new areas in development will continue to grow throughout the fall 2023 semester.
While IU Bloomington currently offers 24 AMP programs, including recent additions in MS Data Science and MS Quantum Information Science, AMP IU is designed to foster the cultivation of fresh new degree combinations that merge faculty expertise with student interests and market needs.

Participating students will save time and money and expand their career opportunities. Departments will receive financial incentives for graduates of newly created cross-disciplinary AMP options.
