Drew Capone, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health, and his students have been collecting data on how the DigIndy project in Indianapolis —a 28-mile-long network of tunnels being built 250 feet beneath the city to divert at least 95 percent of combined sewer overflows (CSOs)—is currently making an impact on the environment.
